Hay
Weston's Farm produces square bales
of both feed and mulch hay for resale. |

Weston's Farm makes approximately 3,000 bales of feed hay per year. The focus is on the highest quality for even the fussiest of animals (and owners). Two cuttings are taken each year on around 30 acres of Timothy and Fescue fields. The fields are fertilized annually and kept free of weeds. The first cutting is done as soon as possible in June before the grass becomes too stemy. The second is done in late August. The hay is mechanically conditioned when cut to ensure proper drying while minimizing leaf loss. |

Weston's Farm also makes 2,000 bales of mulch hay annually. Mulch is thoroughly dried but will contain weed seed (if you are planning to mulch a lawn or garden). |
